Korea Wayfinder is a travel and culture blog about Korea, written by a Korean local for foreign visitors. It covers itineraries, food, transport, culture, and the practical details guidebooks tend to skip — how to actually order at a barbecue restaurant, which transit card to buy, what happens inside a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna).

Who writes this

I was born and raised in Korea and live in Seoul. I write under the site's name rather than my own, but everything here comes from firsthand experience: the subway I commute on, the restaurants I take visiting friends to, and the questions those friends actually ask. When friends from abroad visit, this site is what I wish I could hand them.

How the guides are written

Every guide is based on places and services I have used myself, with prices and schedules checked at the time of writing. Travel details change fast — when a guide gets a meaningful update, the article shows its updated date. If you spot something out of date, tell me and I'll fix it.
